Picnic’s were once the way to celebrate just about any occasion in the good old days, so if you are on holidays in the Byron Bay  and hinterlands region, or you are looking for a great way for a group to celebrate together,  High Tea Ladies have brought back the tradition, so as you can enjoy the company of your guests in a well styled setting the old fashioned way.  Depending on the size of the group or the occasion, we have different ways of setting up your picnic catering.  Picnic catering can be set up inside a shed, or hall, or can also be outside under a shady tree.   If you are planning to have outside, I would recommend that you have a plan B, just in case of bad weather.  Some of the old country halls around Lismore, Byron Bay have fantastic heritage halls, with great surrounds. You then have toilet facilities for your group as well as having your plan B.  Depending on the day, you can set up either inside or outside the hall.  All of the halls have tables and chairs included in the hiring.

For groups up to 40 guests, we can set up with picnic blankets, cushions, old fashion picnic baskets and decor to suit the occasion.   The old fashioned picnic baskets, have all the crockery, silverware, serviettes, hot water flasks, small teapot all in the baskets.  Each basket is usually set up for two guests, all though we do have a couple of larger baskets that can accommodate 4 -6 guests.

You do have the option of using tables and chairs, or you can use pallets as tables and have picnic blankets and cushions around the pallets.  Some of those set ups look amazing.

We supply the decor to suit your theme.

For larger groups we set up our picnic catering buffet style.  We will set up your buffet table with the gourmet food, and decor to suit the occasion.  Each guest will receive a beautiful cardboard picnic box to go to the buffet and select from the menu, and return to their seating.

Buffet will have a variety of gourmet salads, served in glass jars, sweets served in glass jars, individual cold meats, bread rolls.

All food is home cooked, and we source local produce to complete our menu’s.   All dietary requirements can be met.

If you order a romantic picnic with High Tea Ladies, you can add on a set up to surprise your loved one.  If you are having your picnic at your favorite location in Byron Bay, Ballina, Lismore or anywhere in the Northern Rivers N.S.W. we can set up your picnic with the picnic blankets, basket, cheese platters and decor to suit the occasion.  Every effort will be made to ensure that everything is just right, and all you need to do, is just turn up.

We will return to collect, when you are finished. 

There is also a option to arrive to your picnic location in an old fashion A Ford Car if it is available, and you are having you picnic either in Byron Bay, Ballina or Lismore.
